In reply to Adele. These are the brands I remember. E.g. merrell hydro moc, Kamachi sandal ,Columbia (running shoes) some are Aquashoes 100 from Decathlon Hardly believe all are better than Keen.

In reply to Adele. Thanks for your feedback on the sandals! In terms of a rocky stream, I've had ok experiences with it but you definitely have to be careful on wet rocks. That said, I'm curious which other models in your group had more success with wet rocks?

I bought a pair of Keen Newport 2 last week and tried it on my third trip of rocky stream. Sadly to say, in my group of 13 people wearing different brands of different types of shoes ( some are even wearing the normal running shoes) , mine is the worst one in the trip. I purposely bought this pair for the safety, however, it s super slippery all the time on the wet rocks , I would say it’s convenient to wear one for the trip of rock streaming but the point is this is dangerous to wear it in the water. The sole is totally not suitable not only for the wet rocks , but big piece of smooth rocks too. What so disappointed to spend this amount to buy it.

I bought a pair of Keen Newport H2 in Dubai after reading great reviews but on first day of use the sole on one detached from the upper. It was a disaster. I have to take it back to the store to request a refund but in current Corona virus situation I’m reluctant to venture out. I wish Keen was officially represented in the UAE to claim warranty.

In reply to Steven. Hey Steven, I'm sorry to hear about the delamination of the shoes. This sounds like an anomaly for sure as I've owned two pairs and have never had any issues with delamination. Definitely sucks that they won't help with it being out of warranty. Thanks for dropping by with your comments though to let us know about your experience.

Delamination of the soles. I bought what is now called the Newport water sandal several years ago. Used only for kayaking with extremely limited use, maybe at most 15 times per summer worn only walking on sand or dirt maybe at most for an hour per trip, probably much less. They delaminated last year, told out of warranty but to try barge cement. Did so but did not hold. Would never buy them or another Keen product again.

I just bought our daughter her first pair of Keen sandals and we are very impressed. I am trying to decide if I want to get a pair for myself too. I was a bit skeptical of the looks of them, I dont want to be nerdy ;) but I like these ones, thanks for the review.
