Well I feel like i have tried everything. Singapore airlines is one that I have not pursued due to my novice experience with them. I will have to research further how to book with singapore air.

I have tried the obvious routings using AA and united from MLE to ORD. I have also searched CMB to ORD on both. I found availability from BKK to ORD on Qatar a380 F followed by C from Doha however that meant 3 days of flying when I would like to maximize our time in paradise!

I will continue to search, if you have any tips on booking with singapore airlines I would be welcome to them. Not to frustrated, this is half the fun booking these amazing trips and this time I have included my wife in the planning process and she now has a new found appreciation for what goes into these awesome trips we are able to go on using points!

In terms of your return flight, there is absolutely nothing available on return even with codeshare flights? You may have to get a little creative here. What if you used United points for a Singapore Airlines flight like we did and then find another segment (with a layover in say Singapore or Hong Kong) where you can then find a flight back to Chicago?

I just spent several hours reading, looking and watching everything about your trip to Maldives. I have read many trip reports and blogs over the years and I must compliment you. I have never been so captivated! I look forward to reading more of your material in the future.

Currently my wife and I are planning our trip to Maldives. Due to our work schedule and unpredictable lives we have to plan our vacations short notice. Fortunately, we were able to find excellent business class tickets from Chicago to Maldives and find availability at the Conrad using points. Costly # of points between my wife and I, but in comparison to the rates and taxes that are incurred, it was still a good use of points and free night certificates. The unfortunate aspect of our planning is there is no return flights currently and hopefully this is remedied prior to the 30 day cancellation policy of Conrad Rangali. Risky? Yes, but this is our best bet at this current date.

Your video was fantastic detailing all the resort had to offer. We are novice divers but are looking to broaden our fins this trip!!! Thank you for the detailed description of the costs. I have never seen that included in such detail with cost savings tips as you provided. I especially loved the idea of having a drink in Ithaa instead of spending and “ungodly” amount for dinner.

If you have any suggestions on how to get back to Chicago I would be very interested. Currently, we are heavy on United miles, and that will be my primary search to get us back to Chicago.

My name is Greg and while I was researching great travel blogs I have discovered yours – I really like it.

I am writing to you on this occasion because I want to bounce off some ideas with you. I am a huge beach lover. I love beaches so much that I dedicated 4 years of my life to exploring Mediterranean beaches. I have managed to explore 2 500 different beaches. The idea behind this great adventure was to put my love for travel to a good use and gather photos and information on as many beaches I can, so that everyone can have something from it.

Namely, I have decided to create a website where all these great photos, videos and spherical photos of beaches are presented including specific and useful information on each beach. The project has a working title BeachRex – the king of the beaches, because it already includes more beaches than any other project (website) in the World. For now I have created a demo website http://www.beachrex.com where a small portion of everything is presented. My vision is to within a few years further develop the website to the extent of having photos and information on all the beaches of the World – something like “Google for beaches”. I plan on doing that by developing a special mobile app that will facilitate photographers, travelers, beach lovers, and all others to help us collect beach photos and beach information. All will be for free and for everyone to see and use.

So, how does it sound to you? I would really love to hear what you think about my project. It would mean a world if you would share your words of wisdom with me on this. I am looking forward to reading your replay.
